NRMA Motorfest, 26th January 1998

Some of our Victorian visitors together with some local members.

About 1,000 vehicles of all descriptions lined the streets around Hyde Park as part of the yearly Festival of Sydney, and although we were lacking in quantity with only about 12 cars there, we made up for it with Quality. The following excellent examples of Detroit's finest attracted more than their fair share of attention from the public and their cameras:

Mike's 1929 Dual Cowl Sports Phaeton, which was surrounded by admirers all day, Greg's 1939 Sedan, Anton's 1953 Coupe de Ville and Bryan's 1955 Coupe de Ville. The ever popular 59's were represented by Rob's blue flat top, Lorraine and Mike's red Coupe and Allan's recently resprayed Coupe de Ville. Ali's spotless 1963 Eldorado convertible looked good (and long) with a continental kit, as did George's 1964 Coupe de Ville, Tosha's 1963 and 1965 Eldorado convertibles and Ivan's 1969 Eldorado Coupe.

Anton's and Allan's cars took up 3 car spaces!
